Ready-mix solutions

Slip Form Concrete

Controlled-slump, controlled-set mixes on timed delivery for continuously moving formwork.

Slip forming is a construction technique that forms a structure using a moving form that continually receives fresh concrete at the top, extruding the finished form of the structure from the bottom using a hydraulic jacking system.

It is a significant time and cost saving on the right structure, but it is unforgiving: the form never stops, so the concrete must set at exactly the rate the jacks climb. That demands a specialised mix with controlled slump and setting time characteristics, backed by timed deliveries.

We plan slip-form supply as a logistics exercise as much as a mix design one — dedicated trucks, defined cycle intervals and a standby plant allocation so the pour is never starved.

Typical applications

  • Central elevator and service cores
  • Silos and storage structures
  • Concrete barriers
