Self compacting concrete is designed to assist fast-track construction and minimise labour costs. This non-segregating and highly mobile concrete flows into place, fills formwork and covers congested reinforcement without mechanical compaction.
A self compacting concrete mix is placed utilising its own weight with little or no vibration. It delivers these additional benefits while maintaining the traditional mechanical and durability characteristics of plain concrete.
Adjustments are made to traditional mixes using high-performance admixtures to meet tough performance requirements — flow, passing ability and segregation resistance are each verified on trial mixes before supply.
